Some online beauty hacks talk about using your deodorant as a face primer. However, this product is meant only for your armpits. There is a huge difference between the skin of the armpit and face. Your facial skin has more oil glands, while the armpit has more sweat glands. Deodorant controls perspiration production and not oil secretion. Using deodorant on the face can cause itching and discomfort.
Use a proper face primer that prevents your face from producing too much oil and sweat.
Facial skin is much softer and delicate as compared to the rest of the body. So, while waxing can be a great option for body hair removal, such is not the case for facial hair. In fact, it may lead to ingrown hair, sensitivity to sun, rashes and in some cases, scarring as well.
If you have a lot of facial hair and can’t go without waxing, do a patch test before applying it on your face.
While cleaning your hair with shampoo, sometimes it drips down your face. Even though you don’t apply shampoo intentionally on your face, this small amount can also damage your delicate facial skin. Shampoo’s cleansing agents are great for hair but harsh for the skin. Normally, our face wash has milder ingredients.
Try saving your face from shampoo while hair wash.

Using nail polish for face painting is a popular hack that’s recommended on the Internet. However, nail polish has acrylic molecules that can harm your facial skin. It strips the moisture away from your face and makes it extremely dry. So, even if you have watched videos on it, do not apply nail polish on your face.
Use non-toxic colours that are meant for the skin and are safe.

Setting your makeup with hair-spray can damage your skin. Hair spray has alcohol in it which decreases the skin’s moisture level. Your skin will become dry, dull and look aged over some time. Hair sprays also have various other chemicals, which may irritate the skin, and also lead to rashes.
Use a setting spray that’s meant for setting makeup.
You clean your face with soap or face wash to remove the dirt and excessive oil. But in that process, you cannot afford to lose the natural oils that keep your skin hydrated. Bar-soaps remove the natural oils from your skin and make it dry, rough and even itchy.
Follow instructions of skin experts, and use a face wash or gentle cleanser for the face.
